A few years back, I was getting probably the worst cold sores I had ever had in my entire life.
I’m talking big, nasty, make-kids-start-crying-uncontrollably type cold sores.
But that’s not the worst part. The worst part was that each new outbreak just seemed to be getting worse and worse.
Each time bigger and nastier than the last.
What’s that saying? “Abandon all hope ye who has herpes”…
Yup! Pretty sure that’s the EXACT quote.
Well that’s how I felt.
Now it took me years to realize that I was neglecting a very important part of my body: my immune system.
And because I wasn’t taking good care of it, the cold sore virus inside me was having a freakin’ party, day in and day out.
Like teenagers do when their parents are gone for the weekend. Havoc and ungodly mess ensues.
But once I learned how to get my immune system back in “parenting” shape, outbreaks got back in line.
Grounding when appropriate.
The point is, you have to maintain your immune system or it won’t be able to defend you.
That is, if you want kids to like you again…
